The ijgd has been organising volunteer service programmes since 1949. We are an independent, non-profit association for international youth work, a recognised independent youth welfare organisation, and one of the largest and oldest workcamp organisations in Germany. Each year, we assist around 5,000 young people into volunteer work in Germany and abroad. We give them the opportunity to be creative, act in solidarity, take responsibility for themselves, and discover their own true potential and strengths. Our principles: Ecological learning, voluntary contribution, self-organisation, social development, intercultural learning, gender equality, anti-racism/anti-discrimination and political education.

At the Rodgau children's and youth farm, the aim is to create a natural play, exercise and experience area with plenty of space for exploring, crafting, co-creating and trying things out. The basic elements are currently the building and planting area as well as outdoor culture (music around the campfire, art with natural materials, organising outdoor festivals, etc.).
The volunteers at Rodgauer Farm look forward to your help in setting up and designing the site. Various construction and nature conservation projects are planned (possibly building a bonanza fence, insect hotels, music wall, etc.) and an open visiting day for children and young people from the neighbourhood (hands-on activities).

Accommodation: Multi-bed room in the self-catering house of the hiking club in Rodgau.
Food: You cook together. Money for the food shopping is provided to you. Vegetarian or vegan meals are possible. Please indicate any allergies when registering.

Highlights: Spend your summer with young people from all over the world, make new international friends, experience Frankfurt by day and night and take a trip to Cologne, improve your English skills and simply have lots of fun.
Rodgau is very well connected to Frankfurt by S-Bahn. Frankfurt has a lot to offer, culture, going out, shopping, events. You can visit other cities such as Heidelberg and Cologne. Rodgau has a popular swimming lake with a beach volleyball court and SUP hire, the FunPark with bowling, laser tag and escape rooms, two cinemas, three tennis courts and much more. A joint meeting with young people from Rodgau is being planned, perhaps at an international sports event?
