Iberozoa Association is a non-profit organization founded in July 2020 and made up mostly of young entrepreneurs. Its three fundamental pillars are dissemination, conservation and job development.

Come to our camp if you feel that…
You are a young lover of the environment and heritage recovery. Your volunteer work will contribute to recovering rural roads to connect population centres and the restoration of the old fountain of Lozoyuela. This will mean that you can participate in activities in which you will connect with nature and local culture, as well as improving the accessibility and transitability of routes for residents and visitors of the municipality. The young participants will have the opportunity to participate in environmental awareness campaigns and restoration work on the old fountain.
Why participate in our field?
Stone Roots… will provide you with an enriching and educational experience in which you will develop a series of actions aimed at recovering and renewing the legacy of the Sierra Norte. Young people will work as a team to participate in meeting spaces based on respect and coexistence, promoting sustainable practices and respect for the environment.
During this period, you will have the opportunity to discover the northern mountains of Madrid, one of the most natural and authentic areas of the Community of Madrid.
For 15 days, you will be able to enjoy a special and different vacation.
Tasks specific to the field of volunteering
Restoring an existing dry stone wall on the road to Cinco Villas
Build a new wall near the road
Beautify the fountain-basin-washhouse complex
Improve the transitability of the fountain area and its surroundings
Conduct field work and various recreational activities to showcase local biodiversity.
Create content for social media that promotes knowledge and the importance of rural areas.

The meal will be served at a restaurant in Sieteiglesias and will consist of breakfast, mid-morning fruit, lunch and dinner.

The volunteer field is not only about working, you will also have the opportunity to enjoy leisure and free time activities:
• Welcome evenings
• Cultural excursion to Segovia, Buitrago de Lozoya
• Guided tour of the Sieteiglesias Necrépolis
• Evening soirees
• Workshops on handmade soap, recacicla , rural photography, resin and nesting boxes
• Visit to the Ethnographic Museum
• Swimming pool and sports

Recommended Equipment:
Work clothes, sturdy boots, gloves, short- and long-sleeved shirts, bathing suit, shorts and long pants to avoid mosquito bites, cap, rain and warm clothing, sunscreen, lotion for bites, towel, toiletries. Sleeping bag required.

The managing entity of the volunteer camp has civil liability and accident insurance.
