Since 2014 the local Legambiente Association Giugliano Arianova has been working on the Domitian coast in order to defend the environment. Legambiente Association has always strongly fought against the damages from littering and water pollution, powering respect and attention for the environment and wildlife. Legambiente organizes this camp in order to valorise a park rich in history and nature, making the wonderful places around it to be known. Legambiente has already organized an International Camp with a good success so it is highly motivated to continue the challenge this year too.

In the Liternum Park, which has been recently requalified thanks to Giugliano municipality, volunteers are going to be involved in the following activities: restoring and repainting some wooden structures; fixing billboards along the paths which describe the kind of vegetation and indicate the archeological sites of ancient and precious rests.
Konaklama ve Yemek
Volunteers are going to stay in the headquarters of Legambiente Association in Giugliano, with Internet access. Mediterranean diet is possible.

Liternum is the old name of the area where the Camp is taking place and the nature Park to be developed is next to an archeological site called “Scipio’s tomb” . The park overlooks Patria lake which owes its name to a famous sentence of the Roman warlord Publius Cornelius Scipio (also known as ‘ the African’ having defeated the Carthaginian army): “Ingrata patria, ne ossa quiden mea habes” (Ungrateful homeland, you will not have my bones) . Camp volunteers are going to visit the most fascinating places of the Phlegrean Fields and of the near area as well.
