St Charles Lwanga Children's Home and School and School is a non-governmental organization that was established in 2005 by a foreign catholic priest. The home section hosts children with physical disabilities while the school section is comprised of an Early Childhood and Development Education Center(ECDE), a primary school and a secondary. The aim of the project is to provide children with proper education, shelter and clothing. Additionally, it also helps to provide medical care services to disabled children. There is also a brother's residence house which serves as the main accommodation place for volunteers.
The school section consists of 140 children in Primary school and 130 in secondary school section while the disability home has 55 children. Agriculture is also practiced e.g., farming of maize and vegetables, cattle, sheep, and chicken keeping to supplement food availability at the project.
