The municipality of Roye, an historical partner of Concordia, which used to host our local office, has decided to reconnect with volunteer workcamps in 2022. The municipality is keen to welcome young internationals in its commune and prepares activities throughout the stay for you.
İş Tanımı
In the heart of the town of Roye, the ancient ramparts bear witness to a rich past…but time has left its mark. Why not take part in restoring them to their former glory? This historic site is a must-see for locals, and with your help, it will regain its beauty!
Your mission? Clean and remove vegetation from the ramparts, then repair and repoint the damaged sections using basic masonry techniques. No experience is needed: you will learn everything on site with the support of the technical team. Beyond the manual work, you will also help promote this heritage site by sharing its history with local people and taking part in activities that bring the place back to life.
Get ready for a warm welcome from the people of Roye! An opening ceremony with the city hall, meetings with local residents and activities with beneficiaries of the Local Social Action Centre (CCAS) will be part of your stay. On top of that, many events will be organized by the town during the project, including a famous… foam party!
A unique experience combining heritage, learning, community life and fun for an unforgettable workcamp!
