The Mexican Association of International Volunteering AC (AMVIAC) participates in the transformation of the country through the integration of International Volunteering in projects organized in Mexico and abroad by civil associations, local governments, communities
and organized groups, with the idea that after this experience they can become
more actively involved in the work of their community.

The volunteers will participate in registration, conservation, and restoration work of "La
Casa de la Palestina" as part of the Value Enhancement plan that was affected by the
earthquake of 2017. The activities include the installation of 2 doors which have
been crafted by students from the Puebla Restoration Training School using
traditional methods, including the manufacture of hardware through forging,
leveling a stone floor, waterproofing with soap and alum, and adobe
workshop, thus rescuing the traditional uses and customs of this
community.

The accommodation will be in a house provided by a family from the community and has everything necessary for lodging and hygiene.
The accommodation is located 2 blocks from the center of Huaquechula.
Meals (breakfast and lunch) will be prepared by town hall staff and occasionally for the cultural exchange, by volunteers.

Huaquechula is located 1 hour (60 km) from Puebla, 35 min (30 km) from Atlixco, 2 hours 50 min (180 km) from Mexico City and 1 hour 30 min (70 km) from Cuautla, Mor.

From Mexico City you can take a bus to Puebla from the South, North and TAPO terminals or from the airport. From there you take a bus to Atlixco and from there take the shuttle to Huaquechula. Oro and Erco bus lines
