This project is organized in cooperation with the Local farmers group in Mwika, Kilimanjaro. It is a family-like community that welcomes people with and without disabilities and creates a pleasant environment for everyone to live and work together. Vegetables, herbs, and fruits are grown. Organic farm aims to raise awareness of biodynamic farming and the role of a farmer nowadays. The goal of the project is to connect people from different countries, backgrounds and experience the operation of a Tanzania organic farming practices, develop a tolerant open society and acquire a responsible approach to the world.

Volunteers work will mainly be manual activities. These include weeding, planting, harvesting, watering, cleaning and storing vegetables, etc. In addition to vegetables, there are medical herbs grown, which you can also help to collect. You might also do gardening work and help out with the maintenance of the farm and its premises.
Konaklama ve Yemek
Accommodation will be at the community residential house. Basic accommodation facilities like water, electricity and toilets will be available. Rooms will be shared. Food will be provided at the project designated site. Volunteers with special dietary requirements are advised to provide information before arrival. Generally speaking volunteers are not expected to be guest but part of family engaging in all house chaos including food preparation.

Mwika is a small time located in the region of Kilimanjaro, Northern Tanzania. Inhabitants are farmers, small business owners and animal husbandries. The community is located about 117km from Moshi the capital of the region. Located at the foot of Africa's tallest mountain, the quaint village of Mwika offers fascinating insight into both modern Tanzanian life and into the lives of the Chagga people who once withstood vicious Maasai raids through the ingenious use of tunnels. Majority of community members are farmers growing bananas, vegetables and coffee. However, the facts and reality of Mwika makes this place accessible with all social, economic and security facilities. You will not regret to be in Mwika, Kilimanjaro. Options for leisure includes:
o Cultural & Eco-tourism around chagga Maasai communities.
o Hiking – there is a possibility of hiking in Kilimanjaro Mountain’s nature forest.
o Wild-life safari – Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara and Tarangire National parks.
o Mountain Climbing – Mount Kilimanjaro, Meru and others.
o Water side relaxation – Lake Chala, waterfalls etc.

o Once a volunteer is accepted an official invitation letter from us will be issued. Our staff will be available through out to provide support in the process of visa application. Take enough time to apply the since visa process can take long.
