A digital workcamp will bring together approximately 15 young participants from different countries. During the first week, participants will explore and discuss the impact of war and volunteering on both human societies and the natural environment. They will share examples from their own countries as well as from other regions, covering a historical timeline from the First World War to nowadays.
Participants will work in small, mixed international groups to further examine the devastating environmental consequences of war. Based on visual material (photographs), each group will create artistic outputs (in any form or medium).
The final exhibition—both digital and/or physical—will present the historical timeline through photographs, accompanied by the participants’ artistic creations, which will serve as interpretative narratives.
The last day of the project, an online final event will be organized. During this event, participants will present their experiences to the public, who will have the opportunity to explore the exhibition online.
Local stakeholders and organizations promoting non-violent conflict resolution—both at the level of international relations and interpersonal relationships—will be invited to participate.
