The Proyecto San Fermín Association is a non-profit, community development organization founded in Madrid in 1991, with a track record focused on social intervention, the integration of vulnerable groups, and the improvement of the quality of life of residents of the San Fermín neighborhood and surrounding areas in the south of Madrid.

Tasks related to the volunteer camp
Your volunteer experience will be divided into three thematic areas:
Environmental recovery: creation of a versatile community meeting space through mobile panels, lightweight pergolas, and a modular vertical garden, following principles of inclusion, sustainability, and service-learning.
Community participation: involvement in assemblies, community mapping processes, and participatory workshops with local residents.
Sociocultural activation: active participation in local festivities, supporting spaces for care and culture; and providing information and referral pathways to European youth programs in order to broaden personal and community horizons.

San Fermín Hostel is located in the southern part of Madrid’s urban area, just 15 minutes from the city center by metro. Its facilities are designed for young people who wish to visit Madrid. It is also an ideal hostel for hosting workshops, meetings, and events, thanks to its meeting rooms and auditorium.
Services:
• 71 beds distributed in double rooms and rooms for 3, 4, 5, and 8–10 people (single-sex or mixed rooms, with private or shared bathrooms).
• Dining hall with capacity for 100 people (special menus are available for allergies, intolerances, etc.). Meals include breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack, and dinner.
• Free parking for buses and cars.
• Fully equipped kitchen for guests’ use (free of charge).
• Large garden areas.
• Air conditioning and heating.

Volunteering isn't just about work; you'll also have the opportunity to enjoy leisure and free time activities:
• Festivals: energizing community spaces
• Visit to Matadero Madrid and the Usera cultural area
• Creative workshop
• Community sports
• Walk through the Manzanares Linear Park
• Excursion to Segovia
• Guided tour of Madrid, visiting the historic center and other tourist attractions such as El Rastro flea market, Plaza de Oriente, etc.
• Visit to a local museum
• You can also enjoy the San Fermín neighborhood festival
