Kuruluş
The ijgd has been organising volunteer service programmes since 1949. We are an independent, non-profit association for international youth work, a recognised independent youth welfare organisation, and one of the largest and oldest workcamp organisations in Germany. Each year, we assist around 5,000 young people into volunteer work in Germany and abroad. We give them the opportunity to be creative, act in solidarity, take responsibility for themselves, and discover their own true potential and strengths. Our principles: Ecological learning, voluntary contribution, self-organisation, social development, intercultural learning, gender equality, anti-racism/anti-discrimination and political education.

Would you like to spend your free time with others at a camp by a lake, far away from the hustle and bustle of the big city? You want to get out, do something practical and get actively involved? Then this work camp near Spremberg might be just the right thing for you.
To beautify the camp at Felixsee, you can help with the planting and maintenance of borders and renew the barefoot path.
The café in our multi-generation centre in Spremberg is in need of renovation. We would also like to redesign the outdoor area and rebuild a seating area.
Konaklama ve Yemek
You will be sleeping in shared bedrooms in brand new bungalows. Camp area is in the middle of a beautiful forest and surrounded by a fence. The camp has a central house for
sanitation with toilets and showers as well as a community area.
You will cook and go food shopping for yourself. Money for grocery shopping will be provided. Please state any intolerances during registration.

Camp location: Spremberg, Brandenburg; 120 km South-East from Berlin. You can swim in Lake Felix, play beach volleyball, beach soccer and table tennis. A barbecue area is also available. In the town of Spremberg itself there are other leisure facilities, e.g. an adventure pool, cinema and a skate park. The unique Spreewald in the region is a paradise for boat and canoe tours. You also have the opportunity to experience the traditional local festival in Spremberg. During the camp there are numerous opportunities to get to know the region and its people.
