The General Directorate of Youth, Participation and Volunteering (www.xuventude.xunta.es) is a department of the Xunta de Galicia (www.xunta.gal) whose priority is to meet the needs and concerns of the young population living in Galicia, firmly believing that youth has much to contribute to society as a whole.
We work to improve the quality of life of young people in our autonomous community, developing actions and programs that benefit them, increase their well-being and allow them to improve their skill.

The tea land formed by the Louro river basin is known with this name of Gándaras de Budiño. In this work camp, the main tasks that the volunteers will perform are:
· Renovation of the synalectics of the Ribeira do Louro – Gándaras de Budiño Route, 8 km long and of low difficulty, along its route.
· Removal of invasive species of fauna and flora with the technical support of the Council staff.
· Reforestation and planting of native riparian trees in deforested areas.
· Creation of shelters for protected and endangered fauna, with nest boxes, shelters for bats and shelters for frogs.
· Promotion and dissemination of the natural space and the Ribeira do Louro – Gándaras de Budiño route through the organization of a guided interpretive route open to the whole neighborhood.

Porriño is a municipality in the province of Pontevedra integrated into the Vigo metropolitan area, the most important city in the region of Galicia. O Porriño has an eminently industrial character and is an important logistics hub, due to its excellent geographical location in the south of the province of Pontevedra. It stands out for its buildings and among them, those designed by the architect Antonio Palacios.
Leisure:
· Routes: of the "Greas"; of the "Mills of Folón"; and the "Picón".
· Multi-adventure in Marikiná Park.
· Astronomical Observation on Monte Aloia
· Kayak.
· Excursion to Vigo, Tui and San Simon Island.
Notlar
The incorporation to the work camp is in the afternoon of the first day and the departure the last day after breakfast.
RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT:
• Toiletries and shower towel,
• Sleeping bag and backpack for routes.
• Comfortable shoes for mountain and sports shoes.
• Clothing: sports (sweatshirts), bathing (swimsuit, towel, flip-flops), warm (suitable clothing to be able to do the job in case of rain or cold), water (raincoat), work (gloves, hat , comfortable shoes, hiking boots...).
