Rehoboth day care center is a regular Tanzanian early childhood center. Many parents choose center-based care like Rehobothi because they believe the presence of multiple caregivers, larger groups of children, and state inspections that make them both safer and more dependable. Some parents also consider these types of centers to be a better learning environment for their children.
Rehoboth day-care Center is a registered entity aiming to ensure that children receive a good quality early childhood care, education and gains the skills and knowledge they need to thrive achieve promising future. The project is focusing on the children from the age of two years to six years of age.

Potential volunteer on this project is expected to assist in the following tasks:
- Basic Childcare: Monitoring children to ensure they remain safe as they go about their activities.
- Assist the teachers in their daily work
- Clean-up and maintenance: To assist in ensuring that all equipment’s are safe, clean and in good working order, and to report problems to supervisors or head of the Centre.

Food: Food will be provided at the project accommodation. Vegetarian meals will be available. Volunteers are expected to participate in preparation of meals with their host.
Accommodation: Volunteers will be accommodated in the host family within the community where basic accommodation facilities will be provided. Expect to share room with either host family member or other volunteer from the same or other projects.

Weekends and public holidays are free for volunteers. For volunteers engaging for a period of one year, they will also have full holiday of thirty days. However, volunteer has freedom to choose what they would like to do with their holidays. Project leader and host family members will be always there to provide any kind of support needed to organize leisure activities.
During your free time, you can enjoy games, sports, arts and crafts, music, or movie nights with other volunteers. In Dar es Salaam, you can also visit the National Museum, Village Museum, or join a city tour. Other activities include trips to the Dar es Salaam Zoo, beach outings, and swimming. Weekend getaways to Mikumi or Selous National Park are possible, as well as an overnight visit to Zanzibar for a unique island experience.

- Minimum participation duration in this project is four months and twelve months maximum. Volunteer will need to apply for work and resident permits in order to enter Tanzania for this project. Please obtain separate information with details on how to processes these permits.
