Kuruluş
Les Agribains is a Toulouse-based association that dreams of a greener, more inclusive city. Their mission is to promote urban agriculture and permaculture through collaborative gardens that reconnect people with nature. They organize local projects like this one, giving young people the chance to learn, take action, and share practical knowledge.
İş Tanımı
Come and discover Toulouse, the Ville Rose, from a new perspective. In partnership with the local association Les Agribains, you’ll take part in the creation of community gardens at Le Grand Cèdre, a vibrant community space open to everyone in the Ponts-Jumeaux neighborhood.
For two weeks, you’ll help build and shape these gardens at the heart of this park. This temporary garden, set up on a former urban wasteland, is gradually transforming into a space for gathering, ecological experimentation, and community connection. Guided by facilitators and members of Concordia and Les Agribains, you'll learn how to build wooden planting boxes, set up vegetable plots, and install composting systems. No prior experience is needed — just curiosity, teamwork, and a willingness to get involved!
Konaklama ve Yemek
You will sleep in individual tents (provided by Concordia) with access to sanitary facilities, showers, and a kitchen. Everyone will take turns preparing meals and managing the living space (organizing schedules, cleaning, shopping, etc.). Tasks will be shared collectively, and meals will be prepared together (mainly vegetarian). A budget will be allocated to the team leaders, and you will participate in grocery shopping, prioritizing healthy and locally sourced products. For your comfort, a washing machine will be available on site, and there will be access to Wi-Fi.
Konum ve Serbest Zaman
Toulouse, the city of aeronautics and its famous red-brick charm, offers an unforgettable experience! In July, the city comes alive under blue skies and warm summer weather. You’ll have time to wander through the historic streets, relax along the Garonne River after a day of work, or enjoy the friendly atmosphere of its café-lined squares. Don’t miss the iconic Place du Capitole, the vibrant local markets, and of course, a taste of traditional Toulouse cuisine — especially the legendary cassoulet! You’ll also have the chance to explore the city’s parks and gardens, perfect for a stroll or a picnic with the group.
Notlar
Consider taking clothes and footwear suited for work and hiking (including rain clothes). Bring a warm sleeping bag and a good floor mat, tents are provided but if you want, you can bring your own tent. Don’t forget to bring a bathing suit in case you go swimming. Don’t hesitate to bring home specialties, photos, games, music instruments, etc.
The last day is for departure, usually in the morning.
