Oujda is a city located in northeaster Morocco, close to the Algerian border and about 60 kilometres from the Mediterranean resort of Saïdia. As the capital of the Oriental Region, Oujda has long served as a cultural and commercial gateway between Morocco and its eastern neighbours. The city is known for its historic medina, traditional architecture, lively markets, and green spaces, offering visitors a rich cultural heritage and a welcoming atmosphere.

The project aims to improve public spaces while promoting community participation and intergenerational solidarity.
The main activities include:
• Gardening and landscaping around the Municipal Library to create a more attractive and welcoming environment for visitors, particularly children and young people.
• Cleaning, painting, and improving the surroundings of the Pensioners' Club to provide a pleasant space for older people and encourage their participation in community life.
• Supporting small community improvement activities identified by the local partner.
Volunteers will work approximately 5 hours per day, five days a week.

Accommodation
Volunteers will be accommodated in a secondary school. Detailed information about the accommodation and its exact address will be provided before the beginning of the project.
Meals
Meals will be prepared collectively by the volunteers. Participants are expected to share cooking and other daily household responsibilities.

During their free time, volunteers will organize intercultural and recreational activities together. They will also have opportunities to:
• Explore the historic medina of Oujda.
• Visit local cultural and historical sites.
• Enjoy sports and cultural evenings.
• Meet local families and community members.
• Take excursions to nearby attractions, including Saïdia Beach.
