The entity that organizes the camp is the Horuelo Association, a non-governmental, non-profit and independent organization, created in the year 2000 by the initiative of professionals from the field of intercultural associationism.

Come to our camp if you feel that…
Social intervention, the development of youth projects and leisure and free time activities contribute to the promotion of meeting spaces for families, children and young people, through workshops, the implementation of programs that help improve communication and intergenerational relations. In this field of volunteering, participants will design and lead specific programs for children and young people, providing mutual knowledge for the population residing in the municipalities of Estremera and Belmonte de Tajo.
Why participate in our field?
In this volunteering camp, participants will experience different experiences for fifteen days, plan activities with children and young people, and have the opportunity to learn about the history and heritage of Belmonte de Tajo, Estremera and the community of municipalities in the area. You will collaborate with young people from different parts of Spain and the world, which will allow you to create an international network of contacts and friends. You will participate in projects that will be developed in municipalities with fewer resources.
For 15 days, you will be able to enjoy a special vacation, meeting people from other regions and countries.
Tasks specific to the field of volunteering
Volunteers will have various tasks:
• Training and development. Volunteers will spend time in training sessions each morning to put training into practice and develop the skills needed to work with children and young people.
• They will design and organize leisure and free time activities for young people in the municipalities in which they will intervene: Belmonte de Tajo and Estremera
• They will plan activities for children, applying educational methodologies.
• Sports and cultural activities will be held for children in the municipalities

The meal will be served in a restaurant in the village and will consist of breakfast, mid-morning fruit, lunch and dinner.

In the workcamk it is not only about working because you will have the opportunity to enjoy leisure and free time activities:
• Guided tours of the municipalities in the southeast of the Community of Madrid, to discover their heritage: Belmonte de Tajo, Villarejo de Salvanés, Estremera, etc.
• Visit and tasting of oil and wine, as agricultural products of utmost importance in the area.
• Cultural dinner in the town square of Villarejo de Salvanés
• Excursion to Madrid.
• Swimming pool, sports games, evening parties.

Recommended Equipment:
Comfortable sports clothing and shoes, short- and long-sleeved shirts, swimsuit, shorts and long pants to avoid mosquito bites, hat, sunscreen, lotion for mosquito bites, towel, toiletries. Sleeping bag is not necessary.

The managing entity of the volunteer camp has civil liability and accident insurance.
