Our hostel is a member of “Hostelling International network”. It is a worldwide network of Not-for-Profit Youth Hostel Associations. Their local members are all passionate advocates of sustainable travel and are dedicated to connecting young people and local communities in a peaceful and respectful way. In Belgium, the “Auberges de Jeunesse” (youth hostels) are recognized as non-profit organizations and as youth organizations by the Wallonia-Brussels Federation (the French-speaking government of Belgium).

- Reception of the public ;
- Animation, creation or organisation of activities to facilitate encounters ;
- Helping with communication ;
- Helping in the kitchen and bar ;
- If possible, meeting with other volunteers in other youth hostels to create a common project ;
- Other tasks (depending on the profile) : helping with maintenance.
Working time:
The volunteer works 24 hours per week, typically for a maximum of 4 or 5 hours per day.
The schedule would be as follows:
Either in the morning from 7am to 12pm or a little later, depending on tasks.
Or assisting at the reception at 4:00 PM or during the day if there are activities.
Flexibility in scheduling, but with a predetermined timetable so that the volunteer can plan their own activities accordingly.

About the accommodation:
Private room depending on the dates and reservations of the hostel, but during the stay, the person may have to change room, depending on the planning, but it will always be in a private room.
About the food:
Meals are provided and offered during the volunteer's working hours. If no meals are available, the volunteer is given a lump sum for his/her meal.
