The kindergarten is a community-based early childhood education program of Ngaroni- Marangu. The project emphasizes parent involvement and community connection, operating as a not-for-profit organization. The kindergarten is typically run by a committee of parents and focus on creating a strong sense of community and belonging for children and their families. The kindergarten is strongly focused on play-based and nature-based learning and its passionate teachers and education volunteer assistants are dedicated helping the child to develop their social skills and a love for life-long learning.

The kindergarten education assistant volunteer is expected work with teachers to provide a nurturing and educational environment for young children, focusing on social, emotional, and cognitive development. Led by professional teacher they will implement age-appropriate activities, assess student progress, and communicate with parents. The role involves creating a safe and stimulating learning space, fostering creativity, and promoting positive interactions among students.

Food: Food will be provided at the project accommodation. For sustainability reasons we will most consume food harvested in the community/Region. However vegetarian meals will be available. There is always a person to manage kitchen; however, volunteers are expected to give hand in meals preparations.

Accommodation: Volunteers will be accommodated in the host family within the community where basic accommodation facilities will be provided. Expect to share room with either host family member or other volunteer from the same or other projects.

The word "Marangu" means a place with too many water streams and one of the most popular places in Tanzania. Located at the foot of Africa's tallest mountain, the quaint village of Marangu offers fascinating insight into both modern Tanzanian life and into the lives of the Chagga people who once withstood vicious Masai raids through the ingenious use of tunnels.

Inhabitant of Marangu are traditionally farmers growing bananas, vegetables and coffee. At least most household has animals like cow, goat, sheep etc. Tourism is also part of activity that contribute to the economy of Marangu. Marangu is located about 40km east of Moshi town the capital of Kilimanjaro, it is accessible by both private and public transport. Social services including markets, shops, banks, hospitals are available in the community.

Weekends and public holidays are free for volunteers. For volunteers engaging for a period of one year, they will also have full holiday of thirty days. However, volunteer has freedom to choose what they would like to do with their holidays. Options in Marangu are:
 Hiking to Mount Kilimanjaro
 Wildlife safari (Ngorongoro, Tarangire, Manyara among many others.)
 Eco and cultural tourism in the area.
 Project leader & Host family members will be available to provide you with extra information needed.
Notlar
 The project will be starting every first Monday of a month for smooth preparation of volunteers’ welcoming and training/orientation arrangements.
 Minimum duration to be in this project is four weeks and maximum twelve weeks. Entering Tanzania to join this project will require visa. (It is recommended to apply ordinary visa category A6). You need to apply online after receiving supporting documents from UVIKIUTA.
 This project is looking for a person with interest to work with children, Open minded and ready to be challenged. A person Interested in other cultures and local realities, patient and committed, creative and easy to adopt to the situations.
 Volunteer should prove to have zero records on crime against children
