The Mexican Association of International Volunteering AC (AMVIAC) participates in the transformation of the country through the integration of International Volunteering in projects organized in Mexico and abroad by civil associations, local governments, communities
and organized groups, with the idea that after this experience they can become
more actively involved in the work of their community.

The volunteers will begin with the preparation of the site for the restoration of one of
the aqueduct arches, carrying out carpentry activities for the construction of the
wooden truss using traditional methods without power tools, as well as the
manual cleaning of the aqueduct, the removal of deteriorated joints, plastering
of a section of one of the arches, and masonry where lime will be used to
prepare the mortar with a cactus additive (mucilage) to fill the joints. The
mucilage will be prepared by the volunteers.

Accommodation will be in a house provided by a local family and has everything necessary for staying and hygiene.
The accommodation is located 10 minutes from the Aqueduct.
Meals (breakfast and lunch) will be prepared by the volunteers to take advantage of the cultural exchange.

Awareness activities will be carried out with the local population about the
importance of protecting their cultural heritage. In addition, recreational
activities will be organized at the end of the day, and there will be
rest days during which they can visit important sites in the region.

The bus departs from the South Bus Terminal, also known as Taxqueña. If you are coming from the south of the country, arrive at the CAPU terminal in Puebla and from there take a Gold bus to Cuautla.
