This partnership, built on shared values of inclusion, civic involvement, and intercultural dialogue, has been strengthened over time by a mutual interest in local development and global openness. La Biolle, a dynamic municipality, is sure to inspire enthusiasm among its residents.
İş Tanımı
In the heart of Savoie, between lakes and mountains, La Biolle, a dynamic village of 2,900 inhabitants, is committed to an ambitious urban and landscape development project around its brand-new Pump Track. Designed as a meeting place for everyone, this project aims to create a pleasant and harmonious space while preserving the environment and local heritage. Your mission? To take part in transforming this space by contributing to several tasks: installing urban furniture, landscaping to mark the boundary between the Pump Track and the cemetery, and painting the cemetery gate. A project may also be organized with the "La Biolle Rando" association to clear trails and engage with local residents. Whether you are handy or a beginner, your energy and enthusiasm will be your best assets to take on this collective challenge! Supervised by a technical leader, you will learn useful skills while actively contributing to local life. A unique opportunity to learn, share, and leave your mark on a project that benefits everyone. So, are you ready to get involved and enjoy a rewarding human experience?
Konaklama ve Yemek
You will be accommodated in individual tents set up in the courtyard of La Biolle’s elementary school. Each participant will have their own tent for comfort and privacy. It is recommended to bring a camping mattress and a sleeping bag suitable for temperatures around 10°C, as mountain nights can be chilly. Nearby, the gymnasium will be accessible for the use of sanitary facilities and showers. This location will also serve as a shelter in case of adverse weather conditions or extreme heat. For meal preparation and dining, the multipurpose hall "L'Ébène" will be available. This spacious and well-equipped hall will allow participants to cook together and share convivial moments. A supermarket is located in front of the hall, making food supply easy. Additionally, every Friday evening, a local farmers’ market takes place, providing an opportunity to discover and purchase fresh and seasonal products. Collective life will be organized around the active participation of each member: daily tasks such as cleaning, activities, and meal preparation will be shared in rotation. We will prioritize a vegetarian diet, made from local and seasonal products, while respecting specific dietary needs and promoting the discovery of local cuisine. A laundromat is located about 1 km from the school, with costs covered by the participants. Wi-Fi connectivity is not guaranteed on-site, so we recommend arranging a personal solution if needed.

For work on the project, make sure to bring closed-toe shoes and clothing that can get dirty. The living area and worksite are several minutes apart by foot, meaning you will frequently walk between locations. Only one bus serves the town per day, so it is essential to plan your arrival and departure carefully. As nights can be chilly, bring a sleeping bag suitable for temperatures around 10°C, as well as a sleeping mat or additional mattress for extra comfort. A pillowcase can also be useful for creating a makeshift pillow with your belongings. For excursions and unpredictable weather, pack appropriate clothing: a fleece, a waterproof jacket, and spare clothes. Don’t forget sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen), a water bottle, a swimsuit for lake or water activities, a backpack (in addition to your luggage), comfortable walking shoes, and flip-flops for showers. A headlamp or flashlight and a phone charger are also essential. Social events will be organized with the animation team based on your interests. If you’d like to share a bit of your culture, consider bringing objects, photos, culinary specialties, musical instruments, or traditional games from your country or region. A small Bluetooth speaker could also be appreciated to liven up evenings!
