Saint-Jean-Bonnefonds is a commune of 6600 inhabitants in the Loire department of the Auvergne Rhone-Alpes region. Bordering Saint-Etienne, the town is also just an hour s bus ride from Lyon. Between the Monts du Lyonnais and the Massif du Pilat, Saint-Jean-Bonnefonds welcomes you to its rolling hills and breathtaking views. After four years of work, the commune would like to welcome a new team of volunteers.

During this workcamp, you will have the opportunity to take part in various activities. You will be immersed in the local environment by working on the trail of the municipality s food forest in order to improve accessibility and help hikers find their way more easily.Finally, you will take part in meetings and activities with different local groups: children, elderly people, and local associations. Four local young people will join the team both for the work and for community life. They will share their culture with you while helping you discover their town. You will be supervised by municipal staff who will share their know-how and will be happy to introduce you to the municipality. You will work approximately 5 hours per day, in the morning, from Monday to Friday.
Konaklama ve Yemek
You ll be housed in the elementary school in the center of the town. You ll have access to sanitary facilities, a kitchen area, several sleeping areas and the schoolyard. Each volunteer will be expected to take an active part in the group s collective life: preparing meals, washing up, cleaning toilets and premises.

Saint-Jean-Bonnefonds is ideally located for visiting the cities of Saint-Etienne and Lyon. Nature lovers can also enjoy the hiking trails around the commune. Local volunteers are always on hand to offer suggestions for activities and leisure pursuits. You ll also be able to take advantage of the July 14th festivities, which will be a great opportunity to meet the locals.
