The General Directorate of Youth, Participation and Volunteering (www.xuventude.xunta.es) is a department of the Xunta de Galicia (www.xunta.gal) whose priority is to meet the needs and concerns of the young population living in Galicia, firmly believing that youth has much to contribute to society as a whole.
We work to improve the quality of life of young people in our autonomous community, developing actions and programs that benefit them, increase their well-being and allow them to improve their skill.

"Saberes de onte e de sempre" is a work camp of ethnographic and cultural work, whose main objective is that volunteers, through direct contact with the local population, recover stories, traditions, trades, knowledge or folklore that are the identity and personality of the place. It will be a work of research, interviews, elaboration of written and audiovisual material and creation of a support of spreading that lasts in the time.

Bande, a municipality located in the south of the province of Ourense has an enormous historical and ethnographic richness and a strong connection with the neighboring country, Portugal.
Leisure Activities:
- Cultural visit to the Roman camp Aquis Querquennis.
- Cultural visit to the Visigothic church of Sta. Band comb.
- Environmental activity: monitoring and recognition of wildlife in the nearest forests. Activity that will be carried out with the collaboration of an environmental agent from the Xurés Natural Park.
- Hiking route through the archeological mountain “Monte Grande de Bande”.
- Enjoy the baths of Baños (Bande) or Río Caldo (Lobios).
- Kayaking on the Limia River.
- Sports games.
- Xincana “Bandida”, discovered by the town of Bande to recognize the town and its history.
- Free expression artistic mural.
- Leisure in the municipal swimming pools.
- Evenings and nightlife activities.

Lavacolla Airport in Santiago de Compostela (130 km from Celanova, 100km from Ourense). To make the connection with the bus or train station in Santiago: www.tussa.org. From the bus station in Santiago, you can take a bus from the Monbus company (www.monbus.es) or the Alsa company (www.alsa.com) to travel to Ourense. You also have the possibility of traveling by train from Santiago to Ourense (www.renfe.es).
Peinador Airport, in Vigo, (90 km from Celanova). To connect to the Vigo bus or train station: www.vitrasa.es. From the Vigo bus station, you can take a bus from the Monbus company (www.monbus.es) or the Alsa company (www.alsa.com) to travel to Ourense. You also have the possibility of traveling by train to Ourense (www.renfe.es).
From Ourense to Celanova, you must take a bus from the company www.anpian.com.
Alternatively to the meeting point in Celanova, a meeting point could be established at the Ourense train or bus station.
