The General Directorate of Youth, Participation and Volunteering (www.xuventude.xunta.es) is a department of the Xunta de Galicia (www.xunta.gal) whose priority is to meet the needs and concerns of the young population living in Galicia, firmly believing that youth has much to contribute to society as a whole.
We work to improve the quality of life of young people in our autonomous community, developing actions and programs that benefit them, increase their well-being and allow them to improve their skill.

The Broa route covers 13.8 km of paths steeped in history that cross indigenous forests in an area of high heritage and landscape value.
This project seeks to adapt to the new ways of occupying free time, thus promoting the recovery of paths, toponymy, the management of the forest and the connection of people with the environment that surrounds them.
MAIN LINES OF INTERVENTION OF VOLUNTARY ACTION
- Enablement and preparation of spaces for reflection in nature: 3 points on the route will be equipped to invite visitors to enjoy a space for reflection and visual and mental recreation.
- Creation of the treasure route: The route will hide treasures that must be identified by the walkers. Through the installation of a QR code, visitors will be able to accompany the hiking activity with a treasure hunt activity/challenge. Along the way, they will have to find a variety of items that will allow them to finish the challenge successfully.
- Recovery of the traditional toponymy and emblematic corners: The volunteers will prepare and install new wooden signs that make visible emblematic places of the route, which recover the toponymy and locate the populated areas, which will facilitate a greater compression of the territory.

The volunteers will be housed in the A Merca municipal pavilion.
This facility has separate spaces for rest areas.

A Merca is a municipality in the province of Ourense. It is located 20 km from the provincial capital, Ourense.
It has an important cultural, architectural and artistic heritage. The main highlight is the carnival of A Merca and the set of "hórreos", known as "Campo da Feira". "Hórreo": It is a construction of wood or stone in the form of a small ventilated container that, by means of generally stone feet, supported the body of wood or stone, where crops were kept and preserved, especially corn. It is a type of popular construction that accompanied the Galician rural people in their work throughout history.

The incorporation to the work camp is in the afternoon of the first day and the departure the last day after breakfast.
It is advisable to bring:

• Work clothing and footwear.
