The General Directorate of Youth, Participation and Volunteering (www.xuventude.xunta.es) is a department of the Xunta de Galicia (www.xunta.gal) whose priority is to meet the needs and concerns of the young population living in Galicia, firmly believing that youth has much to contribute to society as a whole.
We work to improve the quality of life of young people in our autonomous community, developing actions and programs that benefit them, increase their well-being and allow them to improve their skill.

In this environmental work camp, the main lines of action will be the following:
- Reinitiate the cleaning of the river, this time providing the area with an informative poster raising awareness of the importance of keeping water streams free of waste.
- Construction of a sensory garden.
- Planting a small self-sustainable edible forest, equipped with a pollinator hotel that favors the conservation of biodiversity in the area.
- Day with local shepherds with traditional livestock farming, accompanying the herds to the area of high pastures, visiting the cabins where the shepherds and cattle spend the night during the summer seasons to document the process with images and videos.
There will also be an intervention in the Invernadoiro Natural Park that will consist of:
- Planting specimens for reforestation in areas affected by forest fires.
- Provide protection systems for new specimens, with adequate barrier systems to guarantee the growth of planted specimens, preventing them from being eaten by deer, deer or other herbivores living in the park.
- Pruning of trees and/or bushes.
- Collaboration in the maintenance of routes, firewalls...
Konaklama ve Yemek
Vilariño de Conso hostel. Address: A Faceira, s/n. The hostel has 50 places in quadruple rooms with bunk beds and bathrooms individual each room. There is a kitchen and dining room. It has multipurpose rooms and laundry. The outdoor facilities consist of river beach, football field, tennis court.

Konum ve Serbest Zaman
Vilariño de Conso is located in the southeast of the province of Ourense, at the foot of the A Queixa and O Invernadeiro mountains, and it is in the surroundings of the Parque Natural do Invernadoiro that this work camp is planned.
As leisure activities, the following are scheduled:
- Kayak.
- Hiking through the Lobo moat and the Invernadoiro Natural Park.
- Shepherd for a day where they will learn about the different types of cattle and the skills required to perform the work.
- Traditional cooking, traditional music and pyrography workshops.
- Grazing activity for a day where they will learn about the vicissitudes of different types of cattle and the skills required to perform the work.
- Visit to the astronomical center of Trevinca.
- Natural pools.
Notlar
The incorporation to the work camp is in the afternoon of the first day and the departure the last day after breakfast.
It is advisable to bring:
• Sleeping bag and mat.
• Swimsuit, slippers and bath and shower towel.
• Sun hat and sunscreen.
• Small backpack for routes.
• Comfortable and waterproof footwear.
• Warm clothing.
• Rain gear.
• Work clothing and footwear.
