About the local organization:
Since 2002, the first weekend of August, Esperanzah! festival embarks its public for 3 days of celebration and freedom in the magnificent Abbey of Floreffe, near Namur. The rich and committed program mixes music, street arts, cinema, documentaries, plastic arts and conference-debates. Beautiful discoveries and artists with confirmed talent share the different stages and atmospheres of this festival. At Esperanzah!, we meet festival-goers of all ages letting themselves be carried away by an atmosphere that aims to be caring, alternative, rebellious and respectful of nature and everyone.

Program presentation:
Respect for the environment is at the heart of Esperanzah!’s team. The volunteers of the Environment team will be supervised by 3 managers. Their mission will be to set up the waste collection and sorting circuit. More precisely :
Before the festival:
- setting up the sorting center;
- installation of sorting rules signs on the festival site;
- dispatch of recycling bins, ashtrays, ...
During the festival:
- volunteers are free and can fully enjoy the 4 days of the festival!
After the festival:
- waste sorting;
- equipment storage.

About housing accomodations:
The volunteers will will be accommodated in a dormitory. Kitchen, shower and toilet will be available, but they will share it with another group of volunteers. There will be no washing machine.
About the food:
Three meals are provided each day for volunteers. Vegetarian volunteers will receive special meals. Only during the festival and not during the off days.

About the project location:
Abbaye de Floreffe, 60km from Bruxelles, 10km from Namur.
Floreffe is a French-speaking town of Belgium located in the Walloon Region in the province of Namur.
About the leisure activities possible:
During the festival, volunteers will have the opportunity to enjoy the event as spectators for free.

The team departs for the workcamp on 20/07/24.
The project includes:
- an introduction day in Louvain-la-Neuve
- 2 nights at the bed and breakfast in Louvain la Neuve
- a follow-up during the whole project
- an invitation letter or additional documentation for visa application
- an accommodation in a shared room (camping indoor) during the festival days
- train tickets from Louvain la Neuve to Floreffe
- meals during the work camp
- tickets for the festival days (only for volunteers).
