Ahero Resource Centre agriculture project focuses on economic and environmental sustainability, increased farmer incomes, improved food security and social sustainability which important elements of developing countries’ agricultural development.
Participants on our Kenya agriculture volunteer project will work at the resource centre model farm so that small-scale farmers can learn with the aim to increase their food security and adapt to climate change systems that promote environmental conservation practices.
The volunteers and local teams will work at the model farms to introduce farmers to techniques that prevent soil erosion, reduce the use of harmful pesticides, and replenish the soil. They will work alongside farmers on integrated projects that often combine vertical vegetable gardening, livestock management and food security.
Volunteering for sustainable agriculture projects is the perfect opportunity to combine physical work and learning about farming while traveling the world
Support sustainable organic farming and educate locals on how to get the best results of their harvest whilst protecting the environment.
