Candamo celebrates one of the most unique cultural events in Asturias every September, the CANDAMO 36-37 Historical Re-enactment Days that take place in Grullos, the capital of the council. Since 2011, and at the initiative of the Grupo Frente del Nalón Historical-Cultural Association, the town goes back in time to the turbulent years of the Spanish Civil War as if it were a true journey in a time machine.
Historical reenactors who come from very different parts of the Spanish geography and even from abroad bring our ancestors to life to explain to us in an entertaining and above all didactic, but totally rigorous way, an event that marked the history of the 20th century.
The main task of the volunteers will be helping to this festival. Before the festival starts, working with the actors, cleaning the area, setting the scenes and during the festival, assisting to the recreation and finally after the festival, helping to the deconstruct the scene, cleaning and organising the area.
Konaklama ve Yemek
Basic municipal school with bunk beds. There is a equipped kitchen for the use of the volunteers and also bathrooms and showers. Sleeping bag is required.

Piloña is a council in the eastern part of the autonomous community of the Principality of Asturias (Spain). Its capital is Infiesto. It limits to the north with Villaviciosa and Colunga, to the east with Parres, to the west with Nava and Cabranes and to the south with Ponga, Caso, Sobrescobio and Laviana. It has a population of 6862 inhabitants.
There are so many lakes and paths for hiking around where the volunteers can organise it together with their camp leaders. Unfortunately the are is not very well connected in terms of local transportation.
