The General Directorate of Youth, Participation and Volunteering (www.xuventude.xunta.es) is a department of the Xunta de Galicia (www.xunta.gal) whose priority is to meet the needs and concerns of the young population living in Galicia, firmly believing that youth has much to contribute to society as a whole.
We work to improve the quality of life of young people in our autonomous community, developing actions and programs that benefit them, increase their well-being and allow them to improve their skill.

In this work camp aims to recover a native forest and maintain and improve the associated ecosystems. It is a place of great environmental, cultural and heritage interest that we intend to enhance.
Action will be taken in the Rego das Bouzas and adjacent areas, eliminating invasive exotic species, to prevent their re-entry into the Red Natura 2000.
Main works:
- Cleaning of weeds and elimination of non-native species such as acacias and eucalyptus.
- Care of specimens of native species present such as chestnut or oak trees.
- Cleaning and conditioning of roads, trails and structures such as walls.
- Elimination of weeds in the vicinity of an archaeological structure, without affecting it at all, as a preliminary step for a future excavation.

Konum ve Serbest Zaman
Coirós is a municipality located in the northwest of the province of A Coruña. There are several archaeological remains found within the limits of the town hall that testify that it was inhabited since the time of the castrexa culture.
In this emblematic place of A Espenuca, where later it seems that there was a Paleo-Christian monastery, destroyed in the 5th century, tegulas, hand mills and other Roman vestiges were found.
COMPLEMENTARY ACTIVITIES:
• Visit to places of interest in Coirós and nearby municipalities within the As Mariñas and Terras do Mandeo Biosphere Reserve.
• Municipal swimming pool and nearby beaches.
• Attendance at traditional festivals and cultural and sports events that take place in the municipality.
• Visit to the Fragas do Eume Natural Park and to the cities of Betanzos and A Coruña.
• Hiking trails.
Notlar
The incorporation to the work camp is in the afternoon of the first day and the departure the last day after breakfast.
It is necessary to bring a sleeping bag, backpack for routes and suitable footwear: mountain and sports.
