Learning and facilitating fun, simple sports and games.
Teaching children both sports and artistic skills that you bring to the table.
Building connections with the local community through sports-based interactions.
This project offers an exciting and dynamic environment where you’ll have the chance to:

Work with diverse communities and experience South Africa’s vibrant culture.
Inspire and mentor children, instilling valuable leadership skills through sports.
Create a positive impact by using the universal language of sports to break down barriers and promote inclusivity.

This isn’t just volunteeringbut it’s an opportunity to build relationships, foster growth, and leave a lasting impression on the lives of young people through the power of sports and teamwork.
Konaklama ve Yemek
Volunteers will stay at a centrally located facility in Soshanguve, designed to provide a comfortable yet simple living environment. Participants are encouraged to bring their own sleeping bags for added convenience. The accommodation features:

A basic bathroom with a shower and access to running water.
Flushing toilets for hygiene and comfort.
Electricity, although there may be occasional scheduled power cuts lasting up to two hours during the week (not daily).
This setup ensures a safe and practical stay while fostering a closer connection to the local way of life.

Volunteers will embark on a flavorful journey through South Africa’s rich culinary heritage. Expect to enjoy hearty, traditional dishes that reflect the country’s diversity and warmth. Highlights include:

Braai (South African barbecue): A social experience where you'll savor grilled meats, like boerewors (spiced sausage), paired with sides such as chakalaka (a spicy vegetable relish) and pap (maize porridge).
Bunny Chow: A delicious and filling dish of curry served in a hollowed-out loaf of bread, showcasing South Africa’s Indian influence.
Milk Tart: A creamy and sweet dessert that’s perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth.
Vetkoek: A fried dough treat often stuffed with savory mince or enjoyed plain with syrup.
Volunteers will also have the opportunity to taste local street foods, such as biltong (cured dried meat), samosas, and amagwinya (fried dough balls). Sharing meals with the community is not only about tasting new flavors but also about connecting and learning the stories behind the dishes.

For the adventurous, this is your chance to try South Africa’s unique flavors and embrace the spirit of Ubuntu through food!

Language
The community is proudly multi-cultural, offering a rich tapestry of traditions and languages. While English is widely spoken and serves as the main medium of communication, you’ll also hear vibrant local languages like Sotho, Zulu, and Tshwana, among others. This creates an exciting opportunity for cultural exchange and learning a few phrases in South Africa's diverse linguistic heritage!

Leisure Activities
Weekends are a time for adventure and discovery! Volunteers are encouraged to plan free tours together, exploring local attractions and immersing themselves in the vibrant South African culture. These self-organized outings foster teamwork and offer a chance to create unforgettable memories with fellow participants.

Evenings in our work camps are reserved for Cultural Nights, a highlight of the program. Each volunteer gets the opportunity to showcase their country’s culture, traditions, and cuisine. Whether it's sharing a traditional dish, performing a dance, or telling stories about your homeland, these nights are a wonderful way to celebrate diversity and learn from one another.
