Live in and help organise a local community festival, Apple Day, in the Southern Tablelands NSW.
The Tallong Community Focus Group (TCFG) organises the annual Tallong Apple Day Festival as well as other community engagement activities, such as the maintenance of community parks and gardens. The Apple Festival not only commemorates the rich local history but also serves as a joyful gathering for community members. All proceeds from the event go back to community projects, helping to improve local facilities and support town initiatives.
Join a team of 6 volunteers from the 22nd September – 4th October.
Participation Fee: $150 payable on arrival (covers food, insurance, other costs related to organising this camp).

Preparation and set up, event management, pack-up afterwards. Volunteers should be prepared for physical work, including some medium to heavy lifting. You will work alongside local community volunteers under the guidance of a supervisor and a volunteer manager.

You will be staying in comfortable cabins provided by a local school recreation area. Volunteers will prepare meals together, with some meals provided by local volunteers. Lunch will be provided at the Community Hall alongside committee members. A visit to a local shop will be arranged for volunteers to purchase any necessary items.
