This project is organized in cooperation with alumni volunteers in Marangu to make contribution in conservation of Mount Kilimanjaro one of the UNESCO’s world heritage sites. The project has been using Sports, Arts and music for long time to promote environmental conservation in the area. Sports and especially football has significant role in contributing to social and economic development of any society. This project is aiming to bring volunteers to engage with host community using the universe language of sports, arts and music. It is also aiming to develop and create meaningful events and performing arts programs embodying development through culture, the natural outcome of creative people collaborating to achieve positive results. Through sports, arts and music the project is expecting to increase awareness of positive use of available resources including our own talents to bring sustainable future.

Volunteers will engage in the project through Sports Bonanza |awarding: (Assisting in logistical activities in organization of community sports completions aiming to increase awareness on the mount Kilimanjaro conservation); Music and arts show: Joining local musician and artist to compose songs, create arts and drama with relevant project message to present them to the community through concerts, media show etc.; Education and awareness through workshops, Cinema/video presentations in public places

.Volunteers will be accommodated in a residential house in the community. Expect to share room with other group members. Volunteers are expected to help in meals preparation, dish washing and kitchen cleaning. Vegetarian meals will be available.

The word "Marangu" means a place with too many water streams. It is one of the most popular places in Tanzania. Located at the foot of Africa's tallest mountain, the quaint village of Marangu offers fascinating insight into both modern Tanzanian life and into the lives of the Chagga people who once withstood vicious Masai raids through the ingenious use of tunnels. Majority of residents are farmers growing bananas, vegetables and coffee. Tourism is also part of activities that contribute to the economy of Marangu. Marangu is located about 40km east of Moshi town the capital of Kilimanjaro, it is accessible by private and public transport. Social services including markets, shops, banks, hospitals are available in the community. Options for leisure activities includes: -Wild-life safari: Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Tarangire National parks. There is also various packages depending on your available time and budget that includes Mountain Kilimanjaro climbing, Eco and cultural tourism
