UNESCO World Heritage Centre and Coordinating Committee for International Voluntary Service(CCIVS). One of the main goals of the project is to raise awareness about the necessity to protect, preserveand promote cultural and natural heritage in general and the inscribed or potential World Heritage sites inparticular.Zvartnots was built in the middle of the 7th century. This architectural masterpiece is a monument whichembodies the centuries-long traditions of Armenian architecture. Unfortunately, Zvartnots has survived only in ruins, as it was completely destroyed by a powerful earthquake in the 10th century.The camp will be opened for the 16 th time and is already a popular and traditional one.

The major objective of the work camp is to preserve this historical site for the future generations, to keepit in worthy conditions to allow the visitors to be spiritually enriched and to contemplate the beauty and thesplendour of this monument.Activities for the volunteers are as follows:61623; Maintenance of the territory - removing the over-grown grass, weeds.61623; National sounds of Zvartnots-learning Armenian national dances, songs.61623; Cultural program-My impressions about World Heritage Power point presentations of the volunteers on theirimpressions and feelings about the project and plans for the future.61623; Presentation of the countries the volunteers come from, and of the UNESCO World Heritage Objectsexisting there.The participants will get certificates in the end of the work camp.
Konaklama ve Yemek
Volunteers will live together at the guest house in the territory of the Cathedral in gender-separated rooms with beds or mattresses, bathroom and toilet. NO NEED FOR A SLEEPING BAG OR LINEN.Volunteers will be give packages of food and money for grocery shopping. They will be able to but food based on their preferences. The diet will include a huge variety of food including dairy, meat, groat (grain), pasta, fresh vegetables and fruits.
Konum ve Serbest Zaman
Cultural Program: Volunteers will have three outside trips to Sevan Lake, Garni Temple, Geghard Monastery, Symphony of stones, visits to the Mother Cathedral in Etchmiadzin, Zvartnots Cathedral ruins, as well as museums and exhibitions in Yerevan. All of these is for free.Study part: Armenian dance, song, and language workshops, along with dolma and barbeque-making classes.
